Bring a mesmer with Hex Eater Vortex and Hex Eater Signet. Cry of Frustration or Power Spike interrupts wurm bile. The dungeon wasn't particularly difficult with interrupts.

To be honest, this dungeon is worth the effort just to see the fifth floor with high graphics enabled. Frostmaw's room is definitely screenshot worthy.

I'm a fire ele and I just can't get over spamming SF. However the basic truth is that SF is just tickling high level foes because of their armor. I still use it, but mainly because with other skills active it's cheap and quick to direct h/hs and I can spam necrosis on to it.

3 SF nukers is overkill and if one the posters is right about Obsiditank (I dunno, never use one) then you went from an 8 man to a four man party. Change your team build. Once you know the spawns this dungeon is lot easier as well.

I h/hed with SF/necrosis (me), Sab's necro heroes, monk henchies, zho & herta. First time I did it in NM took 2.15hrs, straightaway I did it again in HM in under 2hrs, which suggests to me the difficulty is being surprised by the wurm spawns. If you are ready for the you can move back, let your minions aggro them, and blast away. Easy.

Oby tank + sf nukers in GW:EN=FAIL
Use different hero's and builds you will fail alot of things if you use this setup in GW:EN.

This dungeon is fairly simple with 2 paras with the proper shout skills. It is also easy if you LET the worms hex you and then use a smiter to reverse the hex while producing significant damage.

Love how people brag about doing this dungeon so easily and yet they are paragons with god mode.

On a side note the first time I did it, I went so unprepared that I ended up using zhed (60DP), flagging him to aggro the wurms then killing em from the back. Took a very long time.
Second time I went with interrupts, was way easier. With magebane shot on its current state it should be even easier.

The builds are slightly modified to make them more usable for heroes(Read:Mindless)

We only had like two deaths before Frostmaw and it was from stupid mistakes. The death at Frostmaw was kind of expected because we hid in the wrong place and got blasted by 3 Siege Wurms + Frostmaw and both spawns. Still managed to take out one of the spawns before the wipe. Too bad the chest drops sucked(crap gold + Lockpick for both of us). The only really annoying thing in the dungeon is Wurm Bile, and Norgu removed that with Hex Eater Signet + Inspired quite well. Arcane was only there to help Barrage + Warmonger's be more effective. I don't recommend using the Ranger build on a hero since they don't use it very well.

god damn, play real builds.

no tanks, just smart damage and smart efficient bars. hint: run a gvg build or balanced HA build.( change some skills of course, obviously snaring isn't needed)

did this with a friend and 6 heros, wasn't hard, but sure took like a while. think it was an hour and a half

me: Melandru Derv: Wounding strike and such.
SH ele, with maelstrom.
RC prot with inspire for worm
Boon with inspire for worm

Friend: Water/Earth ele, with harm, melee, element,
SH ele with maelstrome
SH ele with maelstrome
Woh with inspire for worm

PvP builds > pve builds even in pve. o.O

pvp and pve builds are mostly the same, just playing style is different. PvE with pve only skills is far better then any pvp build.

did this a while ago in abt 1 hr 10 i think wasnt overly hard. we didnt even worry abt overaggroing everything. 2 mobs at a time makes it much faster
anyway teambuild:
w/d (hammer + mystic/eremites)
sabs necs =D
LoD + holy haste (yay for me)
warder (sandstorm/WoS/WaE)
zb prot
possibly WoH not entirely sure
pain inverter works wonders against frostmaw and the nec bosses that randomly pop up everywhere (like when fighting the mob of jotun on lvl 4 ). as for the wurm bile, spread out, and if too many do get it remove it, dont try and heal against it.

Not Realy

This is only one of the examples.

However, i do agree that some pve only skills are overpowering. which is y i said switch out those obviously useless skills.

LOL!?

SF fail in GWEN? I've used 3 SF heroes in all areas pretty easily. I am monk and use some sort of 600 hp build to aggro all foes, clutter them up in small packages and then unflag the heroes to use the napalm bombs on them. Everything dead in 5 seconds.

Even if PvE lads could bring there PvE skillsetups to GvG, they'd get beaten by PvP guilds using PvP setups...

I recently did it on hard mode and got Maul of the Kinslayer x 2. Now that's disappointing.
